Before you start reading this post I want you to stop and ask yourself a question. 'How do you feel right now?' Happy, sad, frustrated, annoyed, envious, worried, stressed?
The reason I ask this question is because behind each answer is one explanation, ourselves. The way we feel right now is our decision and we are the only ones with the power to change it. We might think that outside influences are having an impact on how we feel, but the reality is it's how we allow them to impact on us that matters most.
Too many of us live our lives using excuses and blame for where we are and how we feel, as ultimately it's much easier to do that than take full responsibility. To do that means facing some harsh truths, some painful truths, and nobody likes to do that. But it's by doing this that we can take stock of where we are and start to look to the future with positivity and renewed belief.
You have a choice right now to move forward from a position of happiness and positivity, a position of full responsibility for your life and future. Live your life looking forwards, from a position of power and control whereby you can focus on that which you want in a state of mind that empowers you.
