It was John Maxwell who that said 'the secret of your success is found in your daily routine’. I have always believed that it’s our daily habits that determine our levels of success, and it comes as little surprise that the most successful people I know all continually seek to improve upon their existing habits.
This continual self-analysis enables them to prevent bad habits from derailing their efforts and thus, by this process, they are able to ensure they only engage in activities and habits that serve in taking them towards their goals and dreams.
The thing with habits is that they can form so easily, without us really being fully aware of it happening, both for the good and the bad. This is why we need to be aware of our actions on a regular basis, because before long we will be doing certain activities without a second thought. As Jim Rohn said we first form our habits and then they form us. Don’t let your habits ruin your life, instead let them lead you to a life full of success and prosperity. I challenge you to become more self-aware, because by doing so you will greatly increase your levels of success.
Our habits can be our greatest helper or our heaviest burden, they can push us toward great success but equally they can pull us down to continual failure. So, ask yourself this, what are your habits doing for you and your goals right now? Take the time to evaluate them and work on ridding yourself of those that are not contributing to your life in a positive manner. Breaking old habits isn;t always easy, but by replacing them with new ones you will be on a path to a more successful existence.
